Catalyst
Our highly innovative computing staff has made academic life infinitely easier and more efficient for students and professors by creating a sophisticated intranet system called Catalyst that keeps people connected outside class. Catalyst is so progressive that it has attracted national attention, such as a designation from CIO Magazine as one of the top 50 intranet sites in the country.
Through Catalyst, you can see assignments, readings and cases for all your classes via a "week-at-a-glance" view. You also can turn in homework and check your grades. Faculty members routinely distribute Powerpoint lectures via Catalyst, and a massive electronic library facilitates everyone's work.
Catalyst includes a school directory and even students' resumes. Professors also get to know their students via electronic photo rosters, dynamically generated using the latest enrollment information. And Catalyst enables professors to give online quizzes that are graded instantly so they can use the results to help shape their next lecture.
Unique among business schools, Catalyst strengthens the school's programs by coordinating what occurs in the hundreds of classes taught every year. For example, it allows faculty to discover what topics were discussed in previous courses and when assignments in other courses are due.
Catalyst demonstrates what we teach throughout our curriculum, that information and technology can be used in all kinds of innovative ways to get the results you want.
